About Michael

Michael Sheridan is a surface pattern designer and illustrator living in Eastern Iowa. Michael creates unique designs for all types of products in the global marketplace, including fabric, wallpaper, home goods, partyware, and more. Michael’s passion for surface design began at an early age while growing up in northwest Wisconsin, and his work reflects that gentler, simpler time. Michael’s design aesthetic is contemporary, and has been described as having a “retro” feel as a reflection of his desire to stay in close contact with the midwestern ideals and values instilled in him at a very young age.

Michael also is a licensed attorney with 25 years experience in general civil law and litigation.

In his spare time, Michael quilts, having completed over 75 quilts in the past 12 years, tends to his orchid plants, and makes his own homemade jam and pickles. On the weekend, you can find Michael either at his sewing machine, or at the local estate sales and flea markets, where he’s always on the hunt for vintage fabric and linens.
